Guess What's Open?! WAY OUT!

Hello hello hello, we have a special surprise for all of you today...we've opened Way Out and started running Z-Lift! Hopefully the cover over on Way Out will stick around...we are really excited to have part of Hunter West open...so stop by and take a few runs down our 34th trail!

As for snow blowing, we've had a number of hours to blow for the last few nights, and are hoping for more cold weather...unfortunately it's not looking too promising for getting too much more snow down, but we're confident in how much snow we have, and are getting everything ready for the holiday week. We're doing everything we can to get more trails opened...we just have to wait for the weather! Thankfully, we're looking at a snowstorm in the forecast next week, so hopefully we'll get a few inches of natural powder!

Also wanted to post up a picture I took around 7:30 this morning outside on the deck of the Learning Center...enjoy!

Click on the image for a larger version. Also, small note, there's no Podcast this week, as we have been postponing events due to more warm weather...so check back next week. There's just no point in repeating the same stuff over and over again, but next week there will definitely be one.

One more thing...

how come you guys alwasy say its going to be cold enough to snowmake, but the overnight machine made snow is always 0" did you guys make snow and just not change it or did you not make snow.

We didn't make snow last night. We're doing it on Tuesday night probably.

Secondly, at this point we're just using the small spells of cold to cover dirt patches and build up the base a bit. You should be looking at the base (0-40"), not the depth of new snow. We haven't been publishing that because we're moving the guns around.

any chance that snow machines are gonna be on tonight (monday night) or any chance of real snow falling?

is winter weather ever going to come? :/

There were a few snowflakes today -- we are expecting a fair amount of snow tomorrow!

quick question, not to be an ass or anything, but what do you guys actually plan on doing this winter since the temperatures are supposed to be like this all winter? is there going to be like nothing open in th whole nj/ny area all season? this el nino and global warming crap is ridiculous, especially since i have two season passes which are proving useless. this is very depressing :(

Trust me, people have been asking that question non-stop for weeks.

We're not too worried. Things are going to get better, and it will be cold. Keep an eye out, and just be patient, and the cold weather will be here soon enough -- and that season pass will be worth it!
