The weekend weather looks excellent for skiing, riding and also for snowmaking. We'll be opening more trails, including (but not limited to) Belt Parkway, Minya Konka, Lower Crossover and Mossy Brook. More terrain will open as snowmaking continues. Head over to NOAA to check the forecast for more information. There will be some wind chill on Saturday, so bundle up and help us bring in December!
The times of the sale are as follows:
Tues, Dec 4 - 2pm - 12am
Wed, Thur, Fri, Dec 5-7 - 12pm - 12am
Sat, Dec 8 - 10am - 6pm
We hope to see you there! Our Winter Card will also be available for sale.
*The Winter Card is valid through the end of the Winter 2007-08 season at both resorts, except peak holiday periods (Dec. 25-Jan. 1, Jan. 19-21 and Feb. 16-18). Unused visits may not be carried over into future seasons. Please treat the card as cash. If it is lost or stolen, it cannot be replaced. Questions? Call the Hunter ticket office at 800-HunterMtn ext. 2200 or the Windham ticket office at 800-SkiWind ext. 1100.
Saturday we will try our best to get out of everybody's way but this early in the season we still have to take advantage of the weather so there will be some guns on the opened trails. We will move to the terrain park, Ike, Boston Road, and maybe the Cliff or Heuga?? (depends on the wind), if everything goes right.
The weather looks good with some COLD weather so this will give us a big boost in getting more terrain opened.
Forget Christmas shopping at the malls come take advantage of the early season snow with no crowds out there, while your here buy your presents: Big Lift Card, Winter Card, or stop by the ski shop!
ALSO: For those of you who were wondering about the Quad, it's currently operating and has been repaired. Thanks for your patience!

Tuesday, November 27, 2007
Well we survived the rains that Heinz field in Pittsburgh could not, yes we lot some snow but we are still in great shape and recovery will be quick 1 night and then ready to start the big moves.
Tuesday 27th we will be starting up in the afternoon as the temps drop hopefully we will be up and running by 4:00 PM. Tonight we will be on HBK and off Broadway, Madison, Mossy.
The weather for tonight will be cold enough to resurface what we have with some powder and position us for the next big moves, which will be on Thursday. The temps on Wed. are not good so we will start up on Thursday.
The next move we will be going to the Belt, Minya, Lower Xover, Ike.
This hopefully will all be opened by Saturday if the Mother Nature gives us a break. The long range looks good and with this we will be able to really start getting some terrain opened up.
So get ready.

The Main Bar and pizza bar will be open until 8, and Paradise Alley will be performing at the Main Bar from 4-7. We'll see you tonight!
I wanted to post some photos from I took early this morning, and also give you the info about snowmaking for today, tonight and tomorrow.
We're blowing in the same areas at the moment, as it is very cold and perfect snowmaking weather. The weather still looks good, but snowmaking will probably only be at night during the week, as day temps are in the high 30's and low 40's.
The below photos are snowguns on Hunter One.
Later this afternoon or tonight, weather permitting, snowmaking will continue through the night, and for tomorrow, there's a good possibility of having the Off Broadway, Madison, and maybe even Mossy Brook open.
Stay tuned for more information. We're working on getting the open lifts & trails page up, but have some issues with our website....I know some people are having some problems, and we are doing what we can to iron out the problems....so have patience, and keep checking back!

There is a very good possibility of running C Lift tomorrow, and the Quad and F-lift will be running as well....Kennedy will be open as long as temps stay down tonight (here in Hunter, we're looking at a night time low of between 10 and 15 degrees!).
I got some pretty cool shots today (among them are the ones in this post, all taken around 10am this morning). Remember: if YOU have a great photo of Hunter, send it in! Also check back, as our webmaster Steve has taken a bunch of photos every day and posted them on the site.
800-HunterMtn) for updated conditions...the forecast is looking excellent for the weekend, and I hope everyone had a really excellent Thanksgiving!
Thursday, November 22, 2007
Hello and Happy Thanksgiving from Hunter! Yesterday's opening day was fantastic, and we'd like to thank everyone who came out to ski or ride. The snow is still in good condition, despite the balmy weather, and we're going to make more snow and open more terrain as soon as temps lower (tonight) and possibly have more terrain for the weekend.
The current NOAA forecast shows that temperatures will drop into the low 20's and as low as 11 degrees on Friday night....so think snow(making)!
Head over to the Hunterblog or the website for photos and video from yesterday!
We here at Hunter plan to host plenty of live entertainment through the season, so keep checking back for an entertainment listing, or continue to Paradise Alley's website to read more about them!!
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more info!

I will say that NOAA's forecast this morning showed a chance of snow showers in the area starting Wednesday and continuing through the week. We will certainly not be opening this week, but residents may see a few puffs of white when we test our snowmaking system...so keep a look out.
Next week, I'll probably update the Snow Phone, so that will be another source of information as we get closer and closer to our opening day. In the meantime, check out the new website, pick up a Winter Card, and keep on keepin' on!
