Wednesday Snowmaking Update

Last night the weatherman's prediction was a little off. The low temps on top hit this morning at 6:00 am with a low of 21, the bottom hit a frigid 28 so with that it was not a very stellar night.

Up and coming we will start up again Thursday with predictions of some cold air moving in after a brief warm-up Wednesday night, the plan remains the same get more terrain opened: Minya, Lower Xover, Mossy And The Belt .

Lets hope that Mother Nature will gives us a break when and if she does we are ready to move. If anybody out there knows any dances or spells for cold weather, lets do it...we need some Help with the weather!

What happened to the quad today?

In response to a few comments that were not approved, the quad did not "die." If it hasn't been fixed today (we got the parts around 3pm, so it was kind of late), it will be fixed soon. We will obviously update everyone as we hear from Lift Maintenance. We have a really great Lift Maintenance team and we have full confidence that they will resolve the problem as soon as possible. Until the quad re-opens, we will be using B, F and D to compensate on busier/weekend days, and B and F during the week.

As for ticket pricing, there will be new prices this weekend depending upon snowmaking. Until then, tickets are $39, and you will have to call to find out about the Big Lift Card.

Also, I am not sure about the RC rail, we will set it up as soon as we can, as it is one of the best features we have in the park.

Hi there Jessica,

Nice blog. So if the tickets are $39 how come I was charged $44 on the weekend when I got there at like 11:30?

John.

When was this? Last I heard the weekday rates with limited terrain was $39 for an adult.

See here:

I would not hesitate, if I were you, to print out that page, go to ticket sales and ask for an explanation.

If you have further problems, shoot me an e-mail or call me. x2339.

Jessica,

Have tickets been $39 all year, or were they more over Thanksgiving weekend?

Thanks for the update on snowmaking and conditions. I do not know of any snow dances but if you think it will help I can crank up some Nordic death metal, start an old school circle pit, and hope the circular motion of the moshpit will create some sort of vortex that will draw Artic air from the North into the area of Hunter.

I'll check on the ticket pricing tomorrow.

As for the death metal and circle pit, you know where I am...

Patience...I'll update at the end of the day. It was running yesterday, so it should be ok.
