In case you haven't heard... winter's here in Hunter!

Hello skiers and riders! The town of Hunter has recently been blessed with four inches of beautiful, fluffy white stuff and our fantastic snowmaking crew has blown tons more on our slopes.

In the last two days, we've managed to reopen and blanket 20+ trails, with more opening for this weekend. Right now we have the West Side up and running, along with Hunter One.

The terrain park will be opening tomorrow with a few rails and jumps...we are also hoping to open our snowtubing park sometime next week, so keep in touch!

Celebrate MLK weekend at Hunter Mountain... check out our fireworks!

If you missed our incredible New Years fireworks, there's still a chance to see some light up the sky on Saturday evening at 6pm. We'd love to see you there!

I have a dream that one day this mountain will rise up and live out the true meaning of its apollo creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all skiers and snowboarders are created equal."

LET THERE BE SNOW!!!

Got Moose???

Will you guys keep making snow as long as the temperature is low enough? I'm so looking forward to coming up there, but just hope weather supports the pilgrimage of the Moose Knuckles. Be there or be square.

Jessica,
After reading yesterdays blog I feel bad for you. The moose knuckles are the patient bunch who always appreciate your updates and hard work. Keep up the good work. Knuckle Power!!!!

Thanks! :)

I called and was told they stopped making snow today because of temps and humidity. Looks like snowmaking is over for the weekend because humidity is going up and up.

Jessica - give us the skinny: What's is like on the greens that are open? Nothing else will open for the weekend, right?

when will they start with upper clairs?

Anonymous said...

Yes we need to have clairs open asap. Upper and lower K need to be a priority as well

I don't think I would say you "need" anything open. We are working with what we have. Next week we will blow more snow and open more trails. People need to start skiing what we have and be patient for the rest.

Well if we can't say "need" - how about "crave"?

I crave Clairs.. :) Big time..

Thurs. conditions were AWESOME! Clear skies until I got to the parking lot, then a complete whiteout with snow guns! Never saw so much snowmaking in my 25 yrs of skiing. You guys rock! I got 1st chair on 1st pow day + 1st tracks down IKE all morning. Lots of places were boot deep light pow! THANK YOU FOR NOT GROOMING!! Yes, I NEED 2xdiamond trails to open but your right, where is everybody? Thurs was at peak winter conditions and it was empty. I picked 5 days this season and every one was awesome. PEOPLE, GET YOUR LAZY FEET UP THERE!! GO NOW, YOU CAN ALWAYS GO LATER TOO.
