Cancellations & Changes

Hello again skiers and riders! Before I write up the list of what's cancelled/changed, I want to post an awesome picture I happened to snap this morning on my way into the office (around 7am). Enjoy!

So, here's what's going on here (and I apologize for the inconvenience, we are really looking forward to holding these events and the weather is just not cooperating!)

1. Saturday's New Years Rail Jam cancelled. First we changed the time, and now we are cancelling it. No worries though...another jam, a Pipe Jam, is coming up in February...so sit tight!
2. LocalMotion #1 postponed (again)...the 15th is still holding for now, but we have to see what the weather does. We have not been able to blow snow on our race trail, Madison.
3. That said, NASTAR Pacesetting Trials are postponed and NASTAR will not be starting until Madison is available. Keep checking back for more information about this.
4. The Mini World Cup #1 has also been postponed, new date TBA.

I know it's tough to see all of these things put off, but we are doing everything we can! From what we're hearing, the weather will be turning starting next week, so sit tight and be patient...winter will come this year, and once it does, we will be ready with a slew of events for all of you!

Any news on the Brookly Brew Dinner?

Jess, these cancellations are very upsetting. And this weekends weather, with temps of 50 degrees, do not bode well for the Mooseknuckles. Please do everything in your power to change the weather.....I want it to be a winter wonderland in Hunter (minus the fairies)in two weeks. Thanks. Remember everyone, below the bukcle, hides the knuckle.

Hey you, the beer dinner is going to be in March. Not sure of the exact date yet.

I know the weather is not very fun. I don't even LIKE warm weather, that's why I moved back here from Boston, the humidity capital of the world. It'll get better though :)

Jess,
What is going on with the mountain? It looks like sizzling bacon strips of snow. Please make it better Jess...you're the Mooseknuckles only hope!!!

What's a Mooseknuckle?

Hi Jess,

Team Mooseknuckle is keeping their hopes up for our end of January annual extravaganza! If the Snow gods don't bless us with snow for our trip we'll all have to party our antlers off to make up for it!
PRAY FOR SNOW!!!
THE MOOSE IS LOOSE!!!

You guys are nuts. Come to Marketing when you get here so I can get a hilarious group photo and post it here.

Any chance that a small beginner crowd could come up for the weekend and have good enough snow to hop down the slope a couple of times?

Jessica said...

Maybe...if you guys aren't expecting great conditions. 3 of the 4 trails on Hunter One are in ok shape but you will be skiing in slush this weekend...if you want a real beginner experience, wait until next weeekend.

Skied yesterday (thurs). It was awesome!! plenty of powder in the AM, cold beer and warm sun on the deck for lunch, then soft snow in the pm! Thank you for not bulldozing the moguls on ike! If you noticed, most people were drawn to them. Too bad your overly zealous cat drivers can't leave one small path from the top of hellG untouched. Obviously a lot us would love that.

Hey now, be nice to the groomers. I was up and down the lift yesterday and saw some bumps in that top part of hellgate so I don't know what you're talking about!

Glad you enjoyed yourself though :)

when will pictures taken by the mountain photographers be available on timeless memories through the main site?

E-mail Steve Laing (slaing@huntermtn.com) and ask him. I really don't think it's even in the works...would be nice but not really on the agenda. Shoot him an e-mail.
