Snowblowing continues....

Well, it's a lovely, brisk morning here at Hunter Mountain, and below is a photo of our progressing snowblowing (as you may be able to see, the snowguns have been moved further down).

Please click on image for larger version...more pictures later, possibly.

Thanks for visiting! As you can see, our blog has had over 6500 visits in the month and a half that it has been up! Thanks so much for all of your questions and comments, and please keep checking back!

Further info: Due to the weather forecast starting Thanksgiving, we've decided to concentrate snowmaking on the summit to F-Lift, with the intention of downloading on the summit quad to return to base. We've done this in the past...we know it's not ideal...but we'd like to get open and stay open. There's no real cold on the lower half of the mountain in sight; if we spread out too thin, we may run into problems over the weekend.

Looks great, hoping they're open for saturday.
Thanks for keeping us updated.

By the way, you might want to get the conditions page updated as well.

I'm working on it -- we're having some issues with the website internally, we have to wait until that works out.

We have been going to Hunter for the last 12 years the day after Thanksgiving. We hope to continue the tradition. How does the mountain look for this Friday? Will we continue the tradition? Generally Hell's Gate is the first to open.

We will probably be open on Friday, but I can't say for sure yet. F-Lift will probably run for Hellgate & Broadway skiing.
