Snowflakes Falling in Hunter!

Hey boys and girls! It has been awhile but we now have heavy snow falling in the lovely little town of Hunter. We are expected to get between 18 and 24 inches by tomorrow evening, so start praying to the snow gods!

Hit the mountain up this afternoon, tomorrow and Sunday for awesome amounts of powder...this will most likely be the last big dump of the season, so sink your skis into it while you still can!

Check out the forecasts:
NOAA
Accuweather: Snowstorm!
Weather.com: Winter Storm Targets the Northeast

Enjoy, and we hope to see you this weekend!!!! WA-HOO!!

OH YEA! Time to put the snow cat groomers in the barn for the weekend and ski some natural! Could this possibly be the only weekend that Westway is open all year??!!

I really doubt we are going to open Westway...BUT it is powder time. So hit that!

Maybe we'll see another free for all day this season :D

I would say that would be likely if it weren't a weekend. It was especially amazing last time because it was during the week -- it's going to rough to pull off on the weekend.

In any event, it is looking awesome outside.

The main strip should be fine. There's not a lot of ice. It's going to get windswept on Saturday night, but tomorrow driving in the daylight should be fine. I would, however, stay off Ski Bowl Road. They really don't take care of that road at all...23A will be good though, the plows have been out since last night gearing up for this.

Looking forward to the powder tomorrow! Glad it stayed cold up there because there is nothing ski'able about what we're getting down here in the NYC area.
