Pics, info, and powder, of course!

Ok, so here's the scoop...

Pretty much nothing is groomed. Some of Hunter One and smaller areas, but for the most part, every slope has been left untouched. Minya and East Side have enormous mounds of snow that will blow your minds! It is sunny and cold out, with a lot of wind on trails like Heuga, but it is unbelievable...so break out your twin tips and hit the slopes! Official count....26"!!!!

Here are some photos I took this morning...

Wind-created snow drift at the top of Heuga...well over a foot and a half!

Pretty much every slope is covered with numerous inches of powder...this is an understatement!

More pics coming soon I hope...enjoy!

Thanks for the pics, all this snow is great! I can't wait to come up this weekend...

With 26 inches on the ground, is hunter going to be 100% open this weekend?

all day yesterday and today make my legs ache like no other, not used to all this powder :P You guys should take the snow from the parking lots and build nice stuff on park aveneue :P

Westway needs another 26" to be open. Taylors might be able to be open, but then 44 would have to be roped off.

Mitch,

I KNOW! My legs are killing me and I was only out until 12 or 1 or something, man it was gorgeous today. And there is SO MUCH SNOW everywhere...

Not that I condone this activity ::mocking face:: but people were skiing through the ropes, off the cliffs, everything today, it was so great, it was a total free-for-all. Everyone is so psyched.

For sure. The groomers are out right now(9:42)...they had to clean everything up a bit.

FYI as far as opening 100%, the answer is probably not. There is no way we can open the highlands area, but other things may be opened once the groomers go over the new snow. We'll see.
