Update From Hunter Mountain

I was looking at the extended forecast and it appears that some opportunities for snowmaking are coming up real soon. I assure you we are taking every opportunity we get and will crank out as much as we can in whatever window of snowmaking that we get.

The snow we do have has been tons of fun! Check out our video filmed last week. We brought in a good friend to take a couple of runs and show you what the Hunter snowmaking team has been up to since we've opened. You might have seen her face around here and there...

Just a quick heads up that the 3X Card deadline to purchase online is coming up soon. You have until the 24th to grab one online. Also, the Consumer Demo Day is next week, on the 27th, and the New Year's Eve Fireworks and Torchlight Parade is on the 31st.

If you will be at Hunter Mountain this week make sure you check out the spa at the Kaatskill Mountain Club. This week only, get a free aroma therapy upgrade when you purchase a signature massage. It's a great way to unwind after a day on the hill. Book your appointment today!

The Hunter Mountain Race Foundation will be holding thier Kiddie Karnival on December 27th in Colonel's Hall in the base lodge from 3:30-5:30pm with games and prizes. The 15th Annual Snowball will also take place on Saturday the 29th, from 7:00pm-12am at the Chateau Belleview in Tannersville. For tickets or for more info on these events click here.

With temps nearing 60, this is a great start to spring skiing, though the temperature will drop again and get cold through Presidents' Week... we've got a little more winter left before we can expect such comfort in our days!

We had a lot of spring skiers and riders here yesterday and we're expecting more today... this is a perfect start to a great weekend!! For those of you who are not aware, our fireworks have been postponed until Sunday. So here's the rundown:

eBlast 1/11/11 + new map from Accuweather!! A foot of snow? We hope so!

Hello skiers and riders!

We've got another huge storm rolling in, thanks to Mother Nature. We hope to see snow totals of a foot or more, beginning late tonight and ending sometime during the day tomorrow.

We will keep you posted! We've got three new videos up today, and we will have one up tomorrow to show you what we get in terms of fresh powder!

We could not have asked for a better time for another foot of snow -- right before the MLK holiday weekend! We've got live entertainment and DJs through the weekend, plus a rail jam, torchlight parade and fireworks on Saturday! The 2nd annual "I Have A Dream" rail jam kicks off at 4pm. Registration is at 2pm at the top of the main stairs... you can also RSVP on Facebook! Fireworks & Torchlight Parade begin at 7:30pm... we hope to see you there! Swing by for another weekend filled with events, music and, of course, awesome snow conditions!
