2nd Annual Catskills Cup, Friday 2/28

The second annual Catskills Cup is this Friday March 28th @ Hunter.....here's some info that was passed down the grapevine today!

This event originated @ Windham last year as a snowboarder only based slopestyle open to season pass holders and / or employees of either resort...

This year we are expanding the event to freeskiers, industry friends, and retail shop employees who help create awareness for what the Catskill have to offer.

The event is also open to local residents of either community.....

The format is simple..... winner take all... we will award four disciplines, riders and skiers..... men and women... with a season pass to both resorts for the upcoming 2008 - 2009 season.

Please pass along the info to those that you feel would benefit and/or attend.

Registration is from 9am - 11am in the main lodge, event runs from 12 noon - ? and the resort is open till 5pm! The event is FREE, however lift passes and helmets are required.... so be sure to bring your helmet, current season pass, resort employee ID, or current valid retail shop card for Hunter.....

Any questions, feel free to contact us!

The Weather Ahead: This Week

Hello and happy Sunday everyone!

We have some pretty good conditions today, with some trails closed because the snow was too slippery after all the rain. Contrary to what many of you think, while we've lost much of our ground snow, we lost negligible amounts of trail snow, and previously open trails are still ski/ride-able.

This week's forecast looks great through the end of the week -- sun and cold temperatures will prevail, with temps warming up to the high 30's after Monday and Tuesday. Stay tuned with the forecast!

This week on the agenda we've got the last LocalMotion tomorrow, and a busy weekend with the Burton Women's Camp, Moguls & More workshop and a Mini World Cup competition.

Keep checking back!

Tonight: Periods of snow, mainly before 9pm. Low around 20. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 13 mph increasing to between 23 and 26 mph. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
