Come join us New Years Eve for a Torchlight Parade and Fireworks!!!
Bring your family and friends to Hunter on New Years Eve for our traditional Torchlight Parade followed by a spectacular show of fireworks. The parade kicks off at 5:45PM directly followed by the firework display. So come down to Hunter Mountain, bring some friends, grab a drink at the bar and get a front row seat to the show! Join all of us here, at Hunter Mountain as we kick off the celebrations of the New Year.

Will it be open if it rains?
Any suggestions for what to do during the rain this weekend?
What rain? It's snowing outside...10:47 PM on Tuesday. It's going to be cooooooold tomorrow, and there's no rain in sight. Cheer up :)
if we ever want to know what the weather is like, how do we find out? i remember you saying weather.com and accuweather are wrong and stuff.
Good question...I really try to update the snow phone as often as I can...because really the only way to get the correct weather is to talk to someone who is here. Honestly? People have been calling me and asking, or they call the main switchboard or whatever -- give it a shot.
If you call the hunter mountain hotline, you can connect to a live operator who can give you the scoop on weather conditions. I've found that weather.com's conditions can change hourly. Last weekend at 9:00 on Friday, rain was predicted all day for Saturday, and by 4:00, that changed. Luckily, there was plenty of skiing on Saturday! so don't rely on the forecast totally.
