New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade & Fireworks Tomorrow!

Hello again from Hunter Mountain! We've had an incredible holiday week and despite balmy weather this past weekend, our snowguns are chugging out fresh powder, and we're looking at 2-4" of natural snowfall tomorrow. We've got a ton of stuff going on! For those of you who have not yet made plans for New Year's Eve, plan to be here! Our Torchlight Parade & Fireworks kick off at 6pm, and we'll have live entertainment by Third Rail and a busy Main Bar....we hope to see you there! Snowtubing will also be open, and daytime conditions will be fantastic. We hope to see you!

New videos! We had our first rail jam on the 28th, and we've got a great video to show for it...awesome turnout, so thanks to everyone who came out. Ron "Carvefather" Maida came up to Hunter Mountain last week to shoot his newest carving video for Rad-X Sports. Joining Ron was Jay Frischman from the cutting edge Anton Glider ski company who let Ron demo a pair. Ron can certainly carve on an alpine board and after not being on skis for 13 years...he didn't do so bad on twin boards his first day out. Our man Shane caught all the action and the truly bluebird day conditions at Hunter Mountain... check out the video here.

Good morning skiers & riders! I received an e-mail from our snowmaking shop and wanted to share it with you all:

1 thing for all the skiers and snowboarders if your not here what are you waiting for? Nearly 20 inches of snow and great conditions! Tuesday will be a day to get out and make some turns... sunshine, and yes, we will be turning the guns off with some new terrain opening up. We apologize for all the daytime snowmaking, but we are setting up for the future! Starting Tuesday lets get out here and enjoy what Mother Nature has given us: SUNSHINE & POWDER! A blue bird day = the perfect day on the slopes... so come on out and enjoy!

Woo hoo! Can you believe it is still snowing here in Hunter? We've received 2" overnight, and our weather reports indicate that we're going to get another 4-8 inches today....and we believe it! There is still plenty of powder, and maybe another trail opening or two today, so head up here and take a few runs...or more! We've got amazing conditions and more snow than we know what to do with!

For all of you who purchased full price lift tickets yesterday, there are half price ones waiting for you today! The wind is howling out but it is going to be a beautiful day -- 36 trails and 8 lifts today for your skiing & riding pleasure, and more to open in the near future. 12" of snow so far.....4-8" tomorrow!!!

It has been one crazy night in Hunter! We woke up this morning to 12" of fresh snow, and we are expecting another 4-8" tomorrow! The conditions are going to be incredible, between the natural snow and the snowmaking that has been underway.

We've got the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge kicking off today, so stop by to win some free stuff! We'll have a DJ later on this afternoon...there's no better place to be than Hunter this weekend!

12-16 inches expected tonight & tomorrow!

I hope you are packing your stuff, because if you haven't heard, over a foot of snow is expected to come down starting this morning and ending around 10pm tonight. We're also making snow...the conditions up here this weekend are going to be incredible, with more snow forecasted for Sunday night, and even more for Christmas Eve.

Conditions are awesome!

Snowmaking weather has returned and we are working on expanding our coverage as well as resurfacing what we already have. Conditions today are great! The weather is holding up and we have one new feature in the park, a down rail! Snow is also being blown in the halfpipe as a write this!
